IBERAMIA'2014 is the 14th edition of the Ibero-American Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
This is the leading symposium where the Ibero-American AI community comes together to share research results and experiences with researchers in Artificial Intelligence from all over the world. IBERAMIA 2014 will be held in Santiago, Chile, on November 24-27, 2014. The conference will take in the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which is located in the city centre of Santiago and can be reached easily by train, by car, by tram or by foot. The conference will feature a pre-conference program of workshops. The main technical program will consist of invited talks by leading scientists working in the area, presentations of technical papers, as well as system demonstrations. The Proceedings of IBERAMIA 2014 will be published, as in past editions, by Springer in its Lecture Notes in Computer Science/Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence LNCS/LNAI series. IBERAMIA 2014 welcomes submissions on mainstream AI topics, as well as novel cross cutting work in related areas. Topics may include but are not limited to the following: # Area Chairs 1 Ambient Intelligence 2 AI in Education, Affective Computing, and Human-Computer Interaction 3 Computer Vision 4 Bio-inspired computing 5 Information and Knowledge Processing / Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining 6 Applications of AI 7 Knowledge Engineering, Knowledge Representation and Probabilistic Reasoning 8 Machine Learning 9 Agent-based Modelling and Simulation 10 Multi-Agent Systems 11 Natural Language Processing 12 Planning and Scheduling 13 Fuzzy Systems 14 Robotics Papers must be written in English, and will be reviewed on the basis of their relevance, significance of the contribution, originality, technical soundness, quality and clarity. As in previous years, accepted papers will be published in the series "Advances in Artificial Intelligence" of Springer-Verlag LNAI. Paper submission details Submitted papers must not exceed 12 pages, including all tables, figures, and references and are required to be formatted in the Springer LNCS format (see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html). Submissions over twelve pages will be rejected without review. Papers must be submitted through the EasyChair Conference System at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iberamia2014. The conference is organized in several areas, so the authors should choose to submit the paper to the most appropriate area for their work. All submissions will go through a peer review process, with independent PC members reviewing each submission. Reviewing will be blind, so author names and affiliations must be omitted from the submission, using instead the unique tracking number assigned by the conference system at the time of submission. In addition, self-references in the text, like "in [Garcia 2004], we prove that" should be avoided, using instead references such as "in [Garcia 2004] has been proved that".
