Call For Papers

As machine reading is a seminal inter-disciplinary area of research, the workshop will accept position papers encapsulating novel directions of work in addition to research papers. Position papers are important to foster discussion upon controversial and intriguing ideas on new ways of bridging the gap between derived knowledge and reasoning.

Papers are invited on one or more of the following topics:

Ontology-Based Information Extraction and Retrieval
Intelligent Question answering
Social Networks Mining
Ontology-Based Web Mining
Web-Based Ontology Learning
Web Scale Reasoning
Blog/MicroBlog Analysis
Data Stream Mining
Multimedia Data Mining
Reasoning
“Big Data”/ large scale analytics

The workshop will interest researchers in the following key areas:

Information retrieval
Natural Language Processing/ Computational Linguistics
Computational Semantics
Knowledge Representation and Engineering
Logical or Probabilistic Reasoning
Information Extraction
Data Mining/Machine learning
Semantic Web
Semantic Content Analytics and Cross-media Content Analytics

The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 2012 IEEE/WIC/ACM Int. Conference on Web Intelligence
