Special Issue on Cyber-enabled Distributed Computing for Ubiquitous Cloud Services Of

CyberC 2012: The 4th International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery

Sanya, China, October 10 - 12, 2011

Cyber-enabled distributed computing aligns well with the cloud computing for ubiquitous services and knowledge discovery. The Internet and wireless networks provide the accessibility for service requests, the interconnected infrastructure for cloud computing centers and data centers, and the collaboration on the cloud resources. Furthermore, clouds are implemented with network-based algorithms and protocols to accomplish service discovery, platform as a service, software as a service, data as a service, resource control and management. By a means of networking, clouds enable the shared servers to provide the users with resources, software, and data on demand with high interoperability, scalability, efficiency, simplicity, and security. This IJCC special issue for CyberC 2012 targets to promote novel research on clouds, toward Cyber-enabled distributed computing for ubiquitous cloud services and knowledge discovery.

The topics of the special issue are but not limited to:

• Networking algorithm and protocols for clouds
• Network and resource optimization for clouds
• Distributed data storage and resiliency
• Architectural models for cloud computing
• Computing center and data center
• Discovery of services, data and other cloud resources
• Platform as a service, software as a service, data as a service
• Mobile clouds in mobile networks
• Infrastructure platform application integration
• Protocols for managing Clouds of Clouds, collaboration, and internetworking
• Cloud resource management and allocation
• Workflow and virtualization
• Clouding user experience, scalability of clouds and it networks
• Peer to peer, public and private clouds
