The 3rd International Conference on Innovations in Bio-Inspired Computing and Applications (IBICA 2012)
Garden Villa, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan September 26–28, 2012 http://ibica2012.nuk.edu.tw/ =========== AIM & SCOPE =========== IBICA 2012 is the 3rd International Conference on Innovations in Bio-Inspired Computing and Applications. The first and second events, IBICA 2009 and IBICA 2011, were hosted in India and China, with great success. The aim of IBICA 2012 is to provide a platform for world research leaders and practitioners, to discuss the “full spectrum” of current theoretical developments, emerging technologies, and innovative applications of Bio-inspired Computing. Bio-inspired Computing is currently one of the most exciting research areas, and it is continuously demonstrating exceptional strength in solving complex real life problems. The main driving force of the conference is to further explore the intriguing potential of Bio-inspired Computing. IBICA 2012 will be held in Kaohsiung of Taiwan, which is the largest harbor city in Taiwan, the hosting city of 2009 World Games, and also the manufacturing, and international trade powerhouse of Taiwan. The city will paint the perfect backdrop for IBICA 2012. The IBICA 2012 organizing committee is inviting the submission of papers that present high quality, original, and not previously published work in the related areas. All submissions will be thoroughly peer-reviewed by multiple reviewers to ensure quality and unbiased comments. Papers that discuss the successful application of Bio-inspired computing techniques in solving real life problem will be highly regarded. IBICA 2012 proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Services, which is typically indexed by IET INSPEC, EI (Compendex), Thomson ISTP, and DBLP. Exceptional quality papers will also be invited for further extension, and be considered for publication on journals and book series that are strongly associated with the conference series. ================ IMPORTANT DATES ================ Workshop and Special Session proposal due: April 1, 2012 Paper submission due: April 30, 2012 Notification of paper acceptance: June 30, 2012 Camera-ready paper and registration due: July 22, 2012 Conference events: September 26-28, 2012 ================== TOPICS OF INTEREST ================== Bio-inspired Computing: • Ant Colony System • Artificial Immune Systems • Artificial Intelligence • Artificial Neural Networks • Cellular Automaton • Cognitive Modeling • DNA Computing • Differential Evolution • Emergent Systems • Evolutionary Computations • Evolutionary Strategies/Programming • Fuzzy Logic • Genetic Algorithms/Programming • Granular Computing • Neutrosophic Systems • Organic Computing • P Systems • Particle Swarm Optimization Emerging Technologies & Applications: • Biomedicine • Bioinformatics • Business Intelligence • Cloud Computing • Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery • E-learning • Financial Computing • Healthcare • Life Sciences • Multimedia Applications • Network Management • Robotics • Social Networks Analysis and Computing • System Control and Optimization • Ubiquitous/Pervasive Computing • Web Intelligence • Wireless/Sensor Networks • Other Applications ================ PAPER SUBMISSION ================ Authors are invited to submit research and application papers representing original, previously unpublished work, following the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts with length of 4~6 pages.
