Call For Papers

At MilCIS, there are four types of presentations for which proposals may be submitted: (refereed) Paper Sessions, Update Sessions, Product Sessions, and Tutorial Sessions.

Paper Session. The refereed paper sessions provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners in academia, government and industry to present the results of their investigations associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare. All papers accepted into these sessions will have been refereed (on the full paper) in accordance with DEST requirements for an E1 conference paper. Authors may submit papers into the IEEE Stream or the Industry Stream of the conference. Both streams are refereed the IEEE Stream is suited to technical papers satisfying the requirements of an IEEE conference (with papers published in IEEE Xplore); the Industry Stream is more suited to applications-based papers (with papers published online with the MilCIS Proceedings). If in doubt, authors should submit their paper to the IEEE Stream and the Technical Committee will determine its suitability and allocate it to the appropriate stream. Refereed paper presentations are 30 minutes in duration.More information and/or submit a refereed Paper

Update Session. A presentation in the update stream provides a non-commercial update of key technologies and/or issues associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare. Updates are 60 minutes in duration. More information and/or submit a proposal for an Update Session

Product Session. A presentation in the product stream provides a brief on a commercial product or capability associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare. Product briefs are considered a form of sponsorship, the cost of which is outlined in the Conference Sponsorship and Exhibition brochure (currently $2,500). Product briefs are 60 minutes in duration. More information and/or submit a proposal for a Product Session

Tutorial Session. The aim of the tutorial stream is to provide a non-commercial introduction to key technologies associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare. Tutorials should be as interactive as possible to ensure that participants are actively engaged in exploring the issues surrounding the topic. A tutorial is normally one hour long, but tutorials of up to three hours duration may be considered if there is room in the program. More information and/or submit a proposal for a Tutorial
