Futures of Work in the Age of AI — PhiAI Anthology Issue II

PhiAI, a writers’ collective publishing long-form work on AI through the humanities and social sciences, invites submissions to the second issue of its printed anthology.

We welcome writing that imagines what a Working Future might look like, and that holds its tensions open rather than resolving them. Possible themes include identity and purpose in paid work; the disappearing apprenticeship; care, maintenance and repair work; policy levers for a new model of work; and creative fiction of future worlds where humans work alongside intelligent systems. We particularly encourage worker and Global South perspectives.

Any form of text is welcome: philosophical enquiry, policy paper, future scenario, fiction, dialogue, poetry.

Submissions are up to 5,000 words, including references.

Selected pieces will appear in print in April 2027 and on the PhiAI Substack.
