ICBC 2027, the 9th edition of the IEEE Communications Society’s flagship conference on blockchain and cryptocurrency, invites original, unpublished research contributions. We welcome full papers, short papers, posters, demos, and tutorial proposals in areas including, but not limited to:

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Authors are invited to submit original papers, written in English, that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Technical papers must be formatted using the IEEE 2-column format and observe the following page limits (references excluded):

• Full papers .............................................. up to 8 pages
• Short papers ............................................. up to 4 pages
• Poster papers ............................................ up to 2 pages
• Systematization‑of‑Knowledge (SoK) papers ............... up to 16 pages

The paper submission templates are available on IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process.

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed using a double-blind review process with a rebuttal period. The paper should be anonymized, such that all identifying information (either explicit or implied - for example, names, affiliations, explicit self-citations, links, acknowledgments, and funding sources) should be removed from the initial submission.

For papers that raise ethical issues, such as those involving human participants, personal data, or security/privacy breaches, the Program Committee expects the ethical considerations to be addressed in the paper and for any required ethical approval from an institutional ethics committee to have been obtained prior to submission.

Submissions will be handled via **EDAS** (URL to be announced). Accepted and presented papers will appear in the conference proceedings and be submitted to IEEE Xplore. Extended versions of selected papers will be invited to a special issue of a leading journal.

The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section of any article submitted to an IEEE publication. The AI system used shall be identified, and specific sections of the article that use AI-generated content shall be identified and accompanied by a brief explanation regarding the level at which the AI system was used to generate the content.
The use of AI systems for editing and grammar enhancement is common practice and, as such, is generally outside the intent of the above policy. In this case, disclosure as noted above is not required, but recommended.
