SIROCCO 2027 Call for Papers ===================================== 34th International Colloquium On Structural Information and Communication Complexity Larnaca, Cyprus, June 2–4, 2027, https://cyprusconferences.org/sirocco2027 ===================================== Important Dates ===================================== Full paper submission: October 31, 2026 (AoE) Paper notification: January 30, 2027 Conference dates: June 2–4, 2027 ===================================== About SIROCCO ===================================== SIROCCO is devoted to the study of the interplay between structural knowledge, communication, and computing in decentralized systems that consist of multiple communicating entities. Special emphasis is given to innovative methodological and solution approaches that lead to a better understanding of the relationship between computing and communication. SIROCCO has a tradition of interesting and productive scientific meetings in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, attracting leading researchers in a variety of fields in which communication and knowledge play a significant role. The proceedings of past SIROCCO conferences can be found at https://link.springer.com/conference/sirocco. ===================================== Scope ===================================== Original papers are solicited from all areas of study of local structural knowledge and global communication and computational complexities. Typical but not exclusive topics of interest include the following (in alphabetical order). • Biological and nature-inspired distributed algorithms • Blockchains and related distributed paradigms • Distributed algorithms and computability • Distributed graph algorithms • Distributed quantum computing • Epistemic modeling and analysis of distributed systems • Fault tolerance • Formal verification of distributed systems • Game theory in distributed computing • Mobile agents and autonomous distributed systems • Network modeling and analysis • Security in distributed computing • Self-stabilization • Shared-memory algorithms • Structural and communication complexity analysis • Topology in distributed computing • Wireless, ad-hoc, and peer-to-peer networks Keeping with the tradition of SIROCCO, submissions on new areas related to the general scope of the conference are also welcome. ===================================== Submission Instructions ===================================== Submissions must report on original research and contain results that have not appeared previously in a regular conference paper and that have not been concurrently submitted to or previously published in a journal or a conference with published proceedings. Submission format. Manuscripts must be submitted in PDF format using EasyChair. Submissions must be written in English and formatted in a single-column format on US letter-size or A4 paper, use at least 11-point font, and have at least 2.5 cm margins. Submission length. All submissions must start with a cover page, which will include the paper’s title, a short abstract, and, preferably, keywords. There is no page limit, and authors are encouraged to submit the full version of their paper. The submission should contain, within the first 12 pages (excluding the cover page and bibliographic references), a concise and clear presentation of the primary content and merits of the work. Content beyond the cover page, references, and the first 12 pages will be read at the discretion of the reviewers only. A submission that is not accepted as a full paper may be invited as a brief announcement. Double-blind reviewing. SIROCCO 2027 will employ a lightweight double-blind reviewing process. Submissions should not reveal the identity of the authors in any way (e.g., author names, affiliations, email addresses, and funding information should not appear in the submission). However, authors are free to disseminate draft versions of their submissions as they normally would (e.g., by posting drafts on the web). Questions about the double-blind reviewing process may be directed to the PC chair by email. Submission website. Paper submissions will be handled by EasyChair, so please make sure that you have an active account. Papers must be submitted electronically at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sirocco2027. Submissions deviating from these guidelines as well as papers outside the general scope of the conference may be rejected without consideration of their merits. ===================================== AI policy ===================================== AI policy for authors. All authors of a submission must be human and are fully responsible for the integrity, originality, and copyright of their submission. Authors may use AI tools for limited purposes such as language editing (e.g., fixing typos or improving grammar) without the need for disclosure. Any other use of AI tools (including LLMs) must be clearly disclosed in the submission in an AI-disclosure section, and authors must specify which tool was used and for what purpose. Any undisclosed use of AI tools, or inaccurate representation of AI-generated or AI-modified content, may lead to rejection of the submission or further action. AI policy for reviewers. Reviewers may use LLM-based tools to assist with the review process, provided that the confidentiality of the content of the submissions is preserved. However, the review itself must be written solely by the reviewer and must not be drafted, generated, or rewritten with the assistance of AI tools. Reviewers must rely on their own judgment and retain full responsibility for the content and conclusions of their reviews. ===================================== Proceedings ===================================== The proceedings of SIROCCO 2027 will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Please note that inclusion in the proceedings requires an in-person presentation by one of the authors at the conference and at least one full registration for each paper. ===================================== Best Paper Awards ===================================== All regular papers are eligible for the best paper award. Moreover, all regular papers with at least one student author, where the student author(s) have contributed most of the work, are also eligible for the best student paper award. If a submission is eligible for the best student paper award, please state this on the cover page.
