************************************************************************************************************* CALL FOR PAPERS ICIN 2027 30th Conference on Innovation in Clouds, Internet and Networks “Intelligent network service control and management across the compute continuum” March 15 - 18, 2027 – Pisa, Italy https://www.icin-conference.org ************************************************************************************************************* IMPORTANT DATES Paper Submission: October 30, 2026 Paper Acceptance Notification: December 13, 2026 Camera-Ready Papers: December 27, 2026 ************************************************************************************************************* About ICIN This year, ICIN celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking its evolution into a renowned conference that brings together leading experts in Internet and telecommunications from industry, academia, and government worldwide. The focus of this year’s edition is “Innovation in the Intelligent, Secure, and Sustainable Cloud–Internet–Network Continuum.” ICIN aims to bring together leading researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers to explore the next generation of innovations across clouds, the Internet, and networked systems. The event will focus on the convergence of cloud, edge, and communication infrastructures into a unified, intelligent continuum supporting future 6G ecosystems. The conference will address emerging paradigms in AI-driven network automation, intent-based and zero-touch management, and distributed intelligence across the device–edge–cloud continuum. Particular emphasis will be placed on trustworthy and secure infrastructures, including zero-trust architectures, privacy-enhancing technologies, post-quantum security, and decentralized trust mechanisms. Key topics include but are not limited to intelligent cloud–edge orchestration, 6G and beyond networking, network softwarization (SDN/NFV), data-driven and autonomous networks, quantum and secure communications, and sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructures. The conference will also highlight experimental platforms, large-scale testbeds, and real-world deployments, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and standardization bodies. By addressing both foundational research and applied innovation, the conference seeks to define the technological and architectural building blocks for a resilient, intelligent, and trusted Internet ecosystem, capable of supporting future digital services and societal needs. Areas of interest and topics include, but are not limited to: Intelligent network service management Intelligent end-to-end service configuration Intelligent and cooperative management models across heterogeneous network segments from IoT to Cloud and back Intelligent, resilient and robust schemes in the IoT-edge-cloud continuum service management Enablers for cross-network intelligence and services trustworthiness Intelligent and flexible networks and services for high adaptability Digital twin for network service management Distributed intelligence in B5G/6G networks IoT-edge-cloud continuum Intelligent edge for vertical industries Network Digital Twin challenges for the IoT-edge-cloud continuum and life cycle automation Industrial networks and services for intelligent automation Functional decomposition and orchestration, service chaining Communication protocols for ultra-low latency and ultra-high reliability Fog, edge and multi-access computing and networking Security, trust and privacy for the IoT-edge-cloud continuum Enablers and services for intelligent wireless and mobile networks Network and service architecture, protocols, application-network layer interworking Scalability and multi-tenancy in beyond wireless, cellular and emerging networks Green networking and efficient resource usage and service delivery Security, trust and privacy management in large systems and smart environments Leading the Shift to AI-Native RAN (AI-RAN) Deeper Disaggregation & Microservices (move towards Service-Based RAN and Service-Based Architecture (SBA)) Towards Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) Network automation and orchestration architectures and protocols Zero-touch network and service management and orchestration Artificial Intelligence for networks and networks for Artificial Intelligence Orchestration of mobile and ephemeral resources, automated infrastructure discovery Network data analytics, anomaly detection and feature extraction Autonomic and cognitive networking Automated data, control, and management planes Intent-based network management Self-driving networks Network programmability Automated QoS/QoE management Orchestration of distributed cloud, edge and network resources Security, societal, and legal aspects of network automation Federated learning-based applications Federated Networks Technologies for innovation in clouds, edge, networks and IoT SDN, NFV, service function chaining, function placement and network embedding Serverless computing and FaaS Application-aware networking Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies in networking and networking services Advanced multimedia and real-time communications QoE/QoS Assurance Lightweight virtualization technologies, software and hardware acceleration Energy-efficient software-defined infrastructures Measurement, monitoring and telemetry Time-sensitive and deterministic networking Open-source projects, testbeds and open standards Paper Submission Guidelines ICIN 2027 solicits original, unpublished work not currently under review by other conferences or journals. Papers submitted to ICIN 2027 will be assessed based on originality, technical soundness, clarity and interest to a wide audience. All submissions must be written in English and must use standard IEEE two-column conference template, available for download from the IEEE website: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process, and all submissions must be done electronically through EDAS at: https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=35367 Technical papers can be up to 8 pages (Full papers) and 5 pages (Short papers), including tables, figures and references. At least one author is required to register, at the full rate, to present accepted papers at the conference and for the paper to appear in the conference proceedings. TPC Co-Chairs Stefano Giordano (Università di Pisa / CNIT, Italy) Antonio Skarmeta (Universidad de Murcia, Spain) General Co-Chairs Molka Gharbaoui (Scuola Santanna Pisa, Italy) Andrea Kassler (Karlstad University, Sweeden) We are looking forward to your submissions! |
