Call For Papers

THE 9TH CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER AND ROBOT VISION (CRV2012) will be held on May 28-May 30, 2012, on the York University campus in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Held jointly with the Graphics Interface 2012 (GI) and the Artificial Intelligence 2012 (AI) conferences, a single registration will permit attendees to attend any talk in the three conferences (CRV, GI, AI), which will be scheduled in parallel tracks. CRV seeks contributions of complete, original research papers on any aspect of computer vision, robot vision, robotics, medical imaging, image processing or pattern recognition. CRV provides an excellent environment for interdisciplinary interaction as well as for networking of students and scientists in computer vision, robotic vision, robotics, image understanding and pattern recognition. In addition to the regular sessions, there will be three keynote presentations: Allan Jepson (U. Toronto), Oliver Brock (Technische Universit├Ąt Berlin) and Paul Newman (University of Oxford.) Four paper awards will be presented: one for the best overall paper, one for the best paper with a student as first author, and area awards for the best paper in vision and robotics.

Building on successful tutorials/workshops in previous years (e.g., vision tutorial and SLAM camp in 2010, underwater robotics in 2011), this year we would like to invite proposals for a small number of half- or full-day workshops/tutorials to hold on May 27. Proposers should prepare a short document containing their (i) aims, scope, target audience, (ii) tentative list of speakers and/or activities (indicating who is confirmed or not and whether it is half- or full-day), and (iii) names and contact information.

The accepted papers will be made available by the Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and posted online.
