IEEE International Workshop on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (BlockDLT 2026) Part of IEEE COMPSAC 2026 July 7-10, 2026 — Madrid, Spain https://ieeecompsac.computer.org/2026/2nd-ieee-international-workshop-on-blockchain-and-distributed-ledger-technologies-blockdlt-2026/ ============================================================================== CALL FOR PAPERS # Goal of the Workshop The workshop aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to discuss the latest advancements, challenges, and future directions in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT). Following the success of the inaugural edition, BlockDLT continues to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, intending to drive innovation and practical applications of blockchain technologies across diverse domains. # Workshop Theme Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies have emerged as transformative paradigms with the potential to reshape industries such as finance, healthcare, supply chain, and governance. This second edition of BlockDLT will emphasize both foundational research and cross-disciplinary applications, including scalability, interoperability, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, security, privacy, and cryptography. Furthermore, it will highlight the integration of blockchain with Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and other emerging technologies. Particular attention will also be given to advanced cryptographic primitives, privacy-preserving mechanisms, and the challenges of real-world deployment. # Topics of Interest We invite original research papers, case studies, and technical reports on topics including, but not limited to: - Blockchain architectures and consensus algorithms - Scalability and interoperability solutions - Smart contract development, testing, and verification - Blockchain for Internet of Things (IoT) - Security and privacy in blockchain systems - Blockchain applications in finance, healthcare, supply chain, and governance - Decentralised applications (dApps) - Integration of blockchain with AI and machine learning - Regulatory and compliance issues - Tokenomics and cryptocurrency innovations - Blockchain for digital identity management - Distributed ledger technologies beyond blockchain - Energy-efficient blockchain solutions - Blockchain in cybersecurity and digital forensics - Data science and machine learning for blockchain systems - Zero-knowledge and privacy-preserving solutions - Programmable cryptography - Post-quantum cryptography and advanced primitives for decentralised systems - Hardware-based solutions for blockchain and DLT |
