This year’s edition of Discovery Science welcomes works that focus on the following themes that will be the subject of special sessions within the conference:
Explainable AI for Science
Symbolic Regression for Science
Semantic Technologies for Science
Foundation Models for Science
Physics-informed Methods for Science

In addition to the main track, the conference will also host parallel one-day events, with topics focusing on specific applications of AI to different scientific disciplines. Please check ai4science.ijs.si for more details.

*** IMPORTANT DATES ***

Submission starts: April 1, 2025
Abstract submission deadline: May 17, 2025
Full paper submission deadline: May 24, 2025
Deadline for review submission: June 24, 2025
Notification of acceptance: July 7, 2025
Camera-ready version, author registration: July 18, 2025
All dates are specified as 23:59:59 SST (Standard Samoa Time / Anywhere on Earth)

*** Submission Procedure ***

Contributions, written in English, must be formatted according to the guidelines of the Lecture Notes of Computer Science (LNCS) series by Springer-Verlag, which are available together with templates here. DS 2025 will use The Microsoft CMT service to manage the peer-reviewing process for this conference.

Please submit your contributions here https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/DS2025/

*** Proceedings ***

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes of Computer Science (LNCS). The page limit for the contributions submitted to the main conference is 15 pages in the LNCS format (note that 15 pages in LNCS format is roughly equivalent to 8 pages in NeurIPS format). This includes figures, title pages, references, and appendices.

*** Dual submissions policy ***

Papers submitted should report original work. DS 2025 will not accept any paper that, at the time of submission, is under review or has already been accepted for publication in a journal or another conference. Authors are also expected not to submit their papers elsewhere during the review period. The dual submissions policy applies during the whole DS 2025 reviewing period.

*** Reproducible research papers ***

Authors are encouraged to adhere to the best practices of Reproducible Research (RR), by making available data and software tools for reproducing the results reported in their papers. Authors may flag their submissions as RR and make software and data accessible to reviewers and to the program committee who will verify the accessibility of software and data. For the sake of persistence and proper authorship attribution, we require the use of standard repository hosting services such as Dataverse, mldata.org, OpenML, etc. for data sets, and mloss.org, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc. for source code. If data or code gets updated after the paper is published, it is important to enable researchers to access the versions that were used to produce the results reported in the paper.
