Following the successful Colloids and Materials 2011, this second event in the “Colloids” series of conferences will have a focus on the rapidly growing Nanomedicine area.

Abstracts for poster and oral presentations are invited on the following topics:

Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
Drug delivery
Surfaces and colloids in imaging and diagnostics
Microfluidics with colloidal systems
Toxicology and risk assessment of nanomedicine systems
Responsive colloids and materials
Lipid and biomimetic membranes
Proteins and peptides at interfaces
Soft matter, surfactants, polymers in biological systems
Adsorption, catalysis, and electrochemistry in biological systems
Interfacial processes, capillarity and wetting in biological systems
Novel phenomena and techniques

As with the previous meeting, a platform will be provided for first-rate reviews and discussions with leading international scientists and engineers working in the fields of biomaterials, drug delivery, sensors, imaging and diagnostics. This conference will provide a synthesis between medical/biological needs and advanced colloids/surface properties (the latter based on detailed physicochemical understanding). This in turn promising for a more rational materials and product development.

Attendance at this meeting will enable to you to:

Present your latest research as Oral or Poster presentation
Learn from internationally renowned researchers in a programme covering all aspects of biomaterials, colloids and drug delivery
Understand the current state of research and the challenges to future discovery
Network with international colleagues and grow your LinkedIn connections
Experience a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the middle of summer!
