ACM Hypertext 2025 – 2nd INTR/HT Summer School

The INTR/HT (International Teaching and Research in Hypertext) is sponsored and supported by the ACM Hypertext Conference and ACM SIGWEB. The in-person Summer School will be held from September 13–14, 2025, followed by participation in the HT’25 Hypertext Conference from September 15–19, 2025.

Call for Participation
Are you a graduate student and enthusiastic about hypertext research and technology? Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the INTR/HT Summer School at the prestigious 2025 ACM Hypertext Conference!

The INTR/HT Summer School is an intensive study of hypertext theory and practice funded by SIGWEB for master’s and PhD level students, with the goal of educating the next generation hypertext researchers. It takes place online during the summer and culminates as in-person study over the two-day period leading into the ACM Hypertext ’25 Conference in Chicago, USA.

Instruction is held seminar-style and taught by leading hypertext researchers. Topics include the hypertext field and community, research methodologies, research practices and opportunities, publications and the ACM style guidelines, and ethics and professional conduct. Students will also gain insights about the ACM Hypertext Conference structure, SIGWEB, and ACM. At the end of the program, students will have gained a greater understanding of the field, built expertise as a hypertext researcher, developed a network of colleagues, and become better prepared to participate in future ACM conferences.

Funding
Up to fifteen students selected for the first cohort of the INTR/HT Summer School will receive up to $1,000 each in funding for travel expenses.
Accommodation will be provided free of charge in university dorms. Students who wish to stay elsewhere will be responsible for covering their own costs.
Students will also receive free registration for both the HT’25 workshops and the main conference.
