We are preparing a special session called “Emerging Trends in Data, Web, and Social Media Mining in a New Era of Flexible Query-Answering Systems” within the 2025 Conference on Flexible Query Answering Systems (FQAS 2025) that will be hold on September 11-13th 2025 in Burgas (Bulgaria).
We want to invite you to submit a work to this session (see details below). Feel free to send questions or comments to the special session organizers. ORGANIZERS M. Dolores Ruiz (mdruiz@decsai.ugr..es) Maria J. Martin-Bautista (mbautis@decsai.ugr.es) Computer Science and A.I. Department, University of Granada (Spain) IMPORTANT DATES Paper submission: March 30th, 2025 Final paper deadline: June 15th, 2025 Conference: September 11-13th 2025 We are expecting your participation. You can disseminate the information to other people that may be interested in the session. Best regards, M. Dolores Ruiz (mdruiz@decsai.ugr.es) Maria J. Martin-Bautista (mbautis@decsai.ugr.es) ---------------------------------------------------------------- 2025 Conference on Flexible Query Answering Systems (FQAS 2025) September 11-13th 2025 in Burgas (Bulgaria) https://fqas2025.uniburgas.bg/sessions.html Special Session “Emerging Trends in Data, Web, and Social Media Mining in a New Era of Flexible Query-Answering Systems” Description: In the digital age, vast amounts of data are generated daily through web interactions, social media platforms, and other online sources. Extracting meaningful insights from this ever-growing and dynamic data requires advanced techniques in data mining, web mining, and social media analysis. Flexible Query-Answering Systems (FQAS) are at the forefront of addressing these challenges by providing adaptive, context-aware solutions that efficiently respond to complex and diverse information needs. This special session explores the latest advancements and emerging trends in data, web, and social media mining within the context of these intelligent, flexible systems. As information retrieval and data processing become more complex, FQAS must evolve to handle both structured and unstructured content, including text, images, and videos. Additionally, the integration of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) is transforming how query-answering systems interact with data sources in real-time, offering new opportunities for personalized, context-sensitive, and dynamic responses. This session will focus on how these emerging trends shape the future of flexible query-answering systems, enabling better user interactions, faster decision-making, and more accurate insights from data, the web, and social media. It will also cover innovative approaches for handling large-scale, noisy, and heterogeneous data while ensuring relevance, accuracy, and efficiency. Topics of Interest - Advanced methods for web and social media data mining in FQAS - Query expansion and context-aware retrieval in dynamic data environments - Multi-modal data mining techniques (text, image, video, etc.) for enriched query-answering - Real-time social media analysis for query-driven systems - Personalization and recommendation in flexible query-answering systems - Challenges in integrating unstructured data sources (e.g., social media, web crawls) into FQAS - Techniques for improving scalability and efficiency of query-answering systems for large datasets - Hybrid models combining traditional retrieval techniques with machine learning and deep learning - Ethical considerations, privacy concerns, and bias mitigation in social media - Disinformation and fake news detection and management - Applications of flexible query-answering systems in healthcare, e-commerce, and customer service We invite contributions discussing both theoretical innovations and practical applications of flexible query-answering systems in data mining and social media analysis. Papers highlighting novel approaches to real-world challenges—such as information overload, noisy data, and dynamic query environments—will be especially valuable. This session brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to discuss the current state and future directions of flexible query-answering systems in the evolving landscape of data, web, and social media mining. Participants will explore emerging trends, share insights, and collaborate to advance the field of intelligent, adaptive query-answering systems. |
