2nd GenAI4MoDA 2024 Call for papers ---------------------------------------------------- 2nd Workshop on Generative AI for Mobility Data (GenAI4MoDA) 📅 June 2nd, 2025 | 📍 Irvine, California Co-located with MDM 2025 https://sites.google.com/imtlucca.it/genai4mod-mdm25/call-for-papers **Workshop Description** Generative AI has rapidly evolved, enabling machines to create and analyze content that closely mimics human data. Applied to mobility data, it enhances urban studies by generating synthetic datasets, enabling what-if analyses (e.g., road network changes), and addressing privacy concerns. While still in its early stages, its potential for research and policymaking is significant. Building on the first edition's success, the 2nd GenAI4MoDA Workshop aims to continue fostering collaboration and advancing research in Generative AI for urban and mobility data. Over the past year, more complex models have emerged, unlocking powerful and practical emergent properties. Numerous open-source large language models (LLMs) have also been proposed, competing with proprietary ones. A new paradigm emphasizing extended inference time (test-time compute) for complex reasoning during prompt processing has proven to be highly effective. These advancements have had a significant and ongoing impact on researchers working with generative AI for mobility data. Topics include, but are not limited to: - Generative AI for mobility & geographic data - Transfer learning, incremental learning & validation - Ethics, fairness, and privacy in mobility AI - Real-world applications & human interfaces - Human evaluation design for GenAI4MoDA systems **Paper Submission** 📜 Originality: Unpublished or extended/revised works are welcome. 🔍 Anonymity: Single-blind submissions. 📏 Formatting: Max 6 pages (including references), IEEE format. 📤 Submit via CMT: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/GenAI4MoDA2025 **Important Dates** 📅 Submission Deadline: March 27, 2025 (AoE) 📢 Notification: April 10, 2025 (AoE) ✍️ Camera-ready: April 25, 2025 (AoE) 🎤 Workshop Day: June 2, 2025 **Workshop organizers** Clio Andris, Georgia Institute of Technology Chiara Pugliese, National Research Council of Italy (IIT-CNR) Fabio Pinelli, IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy - primary contact Francesco Lettich, National Research Council of Italy (ISTI-CNR) email: genai4moda@gmail.com |
