Themed issue for the history journal

If it is true that the full humanity of women is not our culture, then we can and must make it our culture Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Against rapidly changing social, political, economical, environmental and technological landscapes, feminist responses shape and reshape scenarios and their representation, critically examining, celebrating, interpreting the approaches that mark the innovative, transformative, intersectional voices and forms in our present world. Scholars and activists are invited to contribute to our themed issue entitled Fighting Discrimination, Contrasting Violence, Empowering People: Feminisms in a Global Perspective, aiming to explore the evolving forms of feminist theories, practices and activism globally, and over time. Submissions can address a wide range of topics related to the theme of the issue including, but not limited to: Digital feminism Ecofeminism Trans feminism Global feminism Arts and feminism Decolonial feminism State, rights and feminism Pedagogy, education and feminism Ideology and feminism Fairytales, novels, fictions on feminism Documentaries on feminism Identities, subjectivities and feminisms Body, reproduction and feminism Please, send your title, abstract (100 words) together with a short bio by June 30, 2025, to sara.delmedico@unibo.it and giuliastrippoli@fcsh.unl.pt Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their proposal on July 31, 2025. Manuscripts should be sent by October 31, 2025. Articles can be written in Italian, English or Spanish, should be in Times New Roman, 12-point font and double-spaced, should follow the MHRA referencing style (https://www.mhra.org.uk/style/) and should not exceed 8,000 words. Chronica Mundi (www.chronicamundi.org) is a peer-reviewed international academic journal. Studies published in the journal are original, have broad geographic and temporal coverage. Chronica Mundi is indexed on America: History and Life, Historical Abstract, Historical Abstracts with Full Text, Google Scholar, EBSCOhost Discovery Services.
