Call For Papers

We are honoured to invite you to the 2025 Edition of the International Conference “Agriculture for Life - Life for Agriculture”, taking place under the general theme "Agroecology and biodiversity: nurturing ecosystems for thriving agriculture". The event was initiated by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest in 2012, and will be held in Bucharest, Romania, between 05th and 07th of June 2025. We are proud that our Conference included in each of its previous editions more than 1000 papers and hosted more than 4000 authors and experts from 40 countries worldwide.
The intensive agriculture and the industrial horticultural farming have accelerated global changes that impact ecosystem
services. Growing awareness about the negative effects of conventional industrial farming on ecosystems has highlighted the need for a shift towards more sustainable practices. Agroecology offers a transformative approach to farming, with its focus on integrating ecological principles to promote sustainability, resilience, and biodiversity. It highlights the importance of ecological principles in agriculture, converging towards farming systems interconnected with the natural environment and the need to protect biodiversity for long-term agricultural productivity. Additionally, agroecology stresses the importance of empowering local communities and promoting social equity in the food system. Therefore, the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest aims to continue its annual meetings on life sciences and social sciences, offering researchers, business leaders, government and EU officials the opportunity to share their innovative ideas and research results to address global challenges on a
scientific basis.
The conference program combines seven sessions and events that are designed specifically to promote interactions among participants, through Oral and Poster sessions, Workshop discussions, optional social activities and professional visits. Aiming to keep a high level of interactions among participants, these sessions are customized in such a program that encourages live discussions following the convenient presentations throughout the 3 conference days. The International Conference “Agriculture for Life - Life for Agriculture” gathers researchers and professionals from the agriculture field, which allows them to share their research results, innovative ideas and practical experience related to agriculture, life and the environment. Participants have the opportunity to interact with experts from all around the world, and thus become part of a unique scientific community.
