Call for Papers: SPADE 2025 - Detection and Analysis of Speech Pathologies Workshop

Workshop Dates: April 6-11, 2025
Location: Hyderabad, India

Submission Deadlines:
- Original Research Track: November 8, 2024
- Dissemination-Only Track: February 1, 2025

Overview:
The SPADE 2025 workshop is dedicated to advancements in the detection and analysis of speech pathologies. We invite submissions across topics that support the workshop’s mission to foster innovative research in speech technology for affected populations.

Topics of Interest:
Submissions may cover, but are not limited to:

1. Detection and Analysis of Speech Pathologies
- Techniques for identifying voice and speech disorders
- Speech biomarkers for neurodegenerative disease detection
- Early diagnosis of dementia through speech analysis
- Severity assessment of speech impairments such as dysarthria

2. Speech Technology for Affected Populations
- Customized ASR systems for individuals with speech impairments
- Assistive technologies for communication enhancement
- Speech synthesis tailored for specific conditions and age groups
- Tools to improve daily life for those with speech disorders

3. Data and Methodology
- Data collection methods for speech pathology research
- Annotation techniques for robust dataset creation
- Benchmarks for evaluating speech pathology detection systems
- Adaptation of foundational models for speech disorder analysis

Submission Tracks:
- Original Research Track: Unpublished work with new findings. Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore.
- Dissemination-Only Track: Previously published, impactful work relevant to the workshop topics. Presented at the workshop but not published in IEEE Xplore.

Submission Format:
Papers must follow IEEE formatting guidelines, with a maximum of 4 pages plus one page for references. Submissions should be in PDF format.

- Original Research Track Submission Deadline: November 8, 2024
- Dissemination-Only Track Submission Deadline: February 1, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: December 18, 2024
- Camera-Ready Submission and Registration Deadline: January 13, 2025

Presentation Format:
Oral and poster sessions will be available. Oral presentations will include Q&A, while poster sessions encourage informal discussions.
