PROTEINA - “From Field to Shelf - Building a Sustainable Future for the Protein Industry” IHK Bildungsakademie Magdeburg GmbH, Magdeburg, Germany and online Since the first event in 2017, PROTEINA has offered a broad network of all key players from industry and research. The aim of this hybrid event is to discuss current developments and to come together for a joint exchange on the potential for the sustainable use of innovative alternative proteins. The industrial use of proteins makes a valuable contribution to the implementation of a sustainable economy in terms of the bioeconomy and circular economy. In addition to its potential, the use of new protein sources also poses challenges in various areas. With its many years of research experience in the field of protein processing, the PPM organizes the annual PROTEINA to promote the exchange of innovative ideas. This year's PROTEINA will focus on innovative ideas and ways to bring proteins from the field to the shelf. The focus will be on alternative protein sources and their processing in the age of digitalization, their analysis (proteomics) for allergens and structure-function relationships, and sustainable supply chain management. • Network with start-ups, small and medium-sized companies, and research-intensive universities and colleges. • Discuss current trends in plant proteins with experts from industry and academia at PROTEINA. You can expect contributions from renowned speakers: • Daniel Kruse, President of the European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA), • Prof. Dr. Monika Pischetsrieder (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg), • Prof. Dr. Christian Fikar (University of Bayreuth) and • Elia Henrichs (University of Hohenheim).
