1st International Workshop on Impact of Algorithms and Services on the Urban Ecosystem (MAURO) @ MDM2024
MAURO workshop aims to delve into the impact of AI and algorithms on urban ecosystems, focusing on their influence on human mobility, points of interest, road networks, and mobility services. It will gather experts from various fields to discuss the challenges and opportunities of these technologies. MAURO workshop will be located at the 25th IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management (MDM2024), held in Brussels, Belgium, from June 24th to the 27th. All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of the 2024 International Conference on Mobile Data Management and included in the IEEE Xplore® digital library. You can find all the details of the call for papers and the instructions on how to submit your contributions on the workshop website. Topics Some of the topics of interest for the workshop include (without being limited to) the following: Exploration of the impact of Vehicle Routing and Alternative Routing on urban traffic flow. In-depth analysis of routing algorithms influencing transportation efficiency. Strategies for effective management of taxi fleets in the context of evolving transportation paradigms. Assessment of Points of Interest attractiveness and its correlation with urban mobility patterns. Understanding the concept of Mobility-as-a-Service and its potential impact on urban transportation. Forecasting urban, maritime, and aviation traffic flows, including travel time prediction. Important dates Abstract submission: April 5th, 2024 (AoE) Paper submission: April, 12th, 2024 (AoE) Authors notification: May, 3rd, 2024 (AoE) Camera-ready due: May, 24th, 2024 (AoE) Workshop day: June, 24th, 2024 Submission guidelines We invite papers discussing novel research and ideas without substantial overlap with papers that have been published or submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. Submitted papers must be maximum 6 pages long (including references) and should report original research results or significant case studies. Submissions should be formatted using the MDM 2024 camera-ready template and submitted through the workshop submission system. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed by at least two reviewers.
