TRANSFORMATIONS

In Atlanta’s transformative environment, CEA 2024 will feature panels in all areas of literary criticism and scholarship, creative writing, rhetoric, composition, technical communication, linguistics, and film.

We are especially interested in presentations that incorporate topics related to transformations in texts, disciplines, people, cultural studies, media, and pedagogy. For your proposal, you might consider the following ideas:

Transformations as they relate to race, ethnicity, class, cultures, regions, genders, or sexualities
Transformations in literary texts, media, and pedagogy
Transformations and technology in the classroom
Transformations in popular culture
Transformative elements in scholarly and theoretical works

We also welcome papers on areas that influence our work as academics, including student demographics, student/instructor accountability and assessment, student advising, academic leadership in departments and programs, and the place of the English department in the current environment.
