ABMC 2011 - The Asian Business and Management
Conference 2011 11 November 2011 to 13 November 2011 Osaka, Japan Conference Chair: Jeffery Sommers Programme advisers: Don Brash & David Wilkinson. Organized by IAFOR in affiliation with its global partners La Trobe University (Australia), Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Education (Thailand), HKUST (Hong Kong SAR), Zagreb University (Croatia), EFMD, GRLI, the UNWFP & HOPE International. CALL FOR PAPERS DEADLINE AUGUST 1 Keynote Speaker: Michael Hudson Michael Hudson Research Professor, University of Missouri at Kansas City Research Associate, Levy Economics Institute, Bard College, NY Author of 'Super Imperialism: The Origins and Fundamentals of US World Dominance' Why Should you come? Last year academics from around the world gathered in Osaka to discuss how the recent global economic and financial turmoil gave rise to significant pessimism together with adverse consequences for both businesses and, more broadly, national economies. ABMC 2010 provided room for reflection and looked at the possibilities for positive change that accompany periods of great trauma. Each challenge gives rise to opportunity and we continue the conversation begun at the inaugural ABMC by inviting discussion, debate and argument as well as serious reflection. Has there been a shift in the balance of economic and political power from the west to the east? Too much financial regulation or not enough? What lessons have governments, regulators, and the business world learned? Are we back to business as usual or will some things never be the same again? As with last year, the Conference sessions will be wide-ranging, covering both policy and research. ABMC 2011 will bring together experts and leaders from the academic and business world to answer these questions and more; to both reflect on the recent past, and look forward, to exchange ideas, and share research findings in the exciting environment of Osaka, Japan. We invite you to join us! The deadline for abstracts/proposals is 01 August 2011. Enquiries: abmc@iafor.org Web address: http://abmc.iafor.org Sponsored by: IAFOR |
