The June 2022 AI in Government event featured guest speaker is Dr. Susan Gregurick, Associate Director of Data Science at the National Institutes of Health and her presentation ‘AI at the NIH: Opportunities to Improve Biomedical Research and Human Health’ Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 11:30 AM - 1 PM ET!
In biomedical and clinical research, AI has the potential to improve health and healthcare systems that will result in positive patient health outcomes. The NIH has recently developed several initiatives and programs to develop and enhance AI for biomedical research and to improve health outcomes for all of our citizens. This talk highlights NIH’s efforts in creating AI-ready data, developing ethical frameworks for the use of AI technologies in biomedicine, training new investigators at the interface of AI sciences and biomedical sciences, and utilizing AI to advance health equity. The talk will also highlight unmet challenges for the research community to consider.
