Introduction
The Wireless Communication Network is developing at an accelerated pace, enabling real-time multimedia services provided by mobile broadband Internet on terminal devices. The last few years have experienced a rapid growth in research on wireless communications and networks, having attractive outcomes. Researchers are currently envisioning different attractive properties of wireless communications and networks. The expectations are increasing about what the current and future generations of wireless communication can do for a wide range of applications. Objective of the Book The objective of this book is to accelerate the development of wireless communications and to integrate diverse fields including embedded hardware manufacturing and signal processing as well as wireless networking across all layers. In addition, educational values of this book are seriously taken into consideration since this book aims at serving as a virtual and effective bridge between academic research in theory and engineering development in practice. Target Audience The target audience of this book will be composed of professionals and researchers working in the field of wireless technologies. It will be written for graduate students, researchers, academics, and industry practitioners working in the area of wireless communications and networks who want to improve their understanding of the latest developments of wireless networks. Moreover, the book will include some chapters on the fundamentals of wireless communications so that the general readers can be able to easily grasp some of the ideas in this area. Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following: • Broadband wireless access networks • 3G, 4G Mobile Communications • Antennas and Propagation • Information Theory and Coding • Wireless ad-hoc Sensor Networks • Smart Wireless Sensors • Wireless mesh networks • Emerging wireless network security issues • UWB Communications, • Adaptive Antennas and MIMO systems • Spread Spectrum communication • Channel Characterization and modeling • Multi-User Communications • Cellular Communications • Cognitive Radio and Software Defined Radio • Cross-layer optimization and cross-functionality designs • Data gathering, fusion, and dissemination • Interdisciplinary approaches Submission Procedure Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before February 28, 2021, a 2-3 page chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by March 28, 2021 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by May 28, 2021. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.
