Let's rise to this challenge! ICSE, the International Conference on Software Engineering, is the premier software engineering conference, providing a forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences and issues in the field of software engineering. We welcome you to come to ICSE 2012 in Zurich, a venue in the heart of Europe which is both beautiful and easily reachable from everywhere in the world. Make ICSE 2012 a highlight of your year by experiencing an exciting conference and by exploring the thrill of landscape, culture, shopping, and life in Zurich. CALL FOR PAPERS AND PROPOSALS We invite high quality submissions of papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all topics of software engineering. Technical research paper submissions may range from novel technical results to scientific evaluations of existing problems or research results. Submissions describing groundbreaking approaches to emerging problems will be considered based on timeliness and potential impact. ICSE 2012 accepts submissions in the following categories: - Technical research papers - Software engineering in practice papers - Software engineering education papers - Formal research demonstrations - New ideas and emerging results papers We also invite - proposals for workshops, tutorials and technical briefings, - submissions to the doctoral symposium, - submissions of posters and informal demonstrations.
