The journey of seeking and understanding existing knowledge when stepping into a new direction is always interesting, fulfilling and rewarding. Although we live in the age of information, gathering that information through several research papers, review papers and books takes a major amount of our precious time. Almost every research field nowadays, involves some kind of multi/interdisciplinary nature, making it even more challenging. The answer to this challenge is tutorials, where all the knowledge for a specific subject is combined into a single crash-course.
This Special Issue of IEEE Sensors Journal aims to create a pool-of–knowledge on any SENSORRELATED issue through tutorials. The scope of this special issue is the same as the scope of the IEEE Sensors Journal (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/aboutJournal.jsp?punumber=7361) however, some examples of topics of interest are (but not limited to):

Sensors based on Organic Field Effect Transistors and Organic Electrochemical Transistors
Procedures, Techniques and Custom Pastes for Fabrication of Printed Electrodes for Sensing Applications
Impedance Spectroscopy Sensors, Governing Physics and Practical Considerations
Electronic Interfaces and Read-out Systems for Sensors
Functionalization of Surfaces for Biosensing Applications
Electrochemical Sensing Techniques, Governing Physics and Practical Considerations
Enhanced Surface Raman Spectroscopy for Ultra-Sensitive Devices
Sensing using the Memristive Approach, Governing Physics and Instrumentation Challenges
Time Series Data Processing and Its Sensing Applications
Sensors-Driven Intelligent Systems

Solicited and invited papers shall undergo the standard IEEE Sensors Journal peer review process.
All manuscripts must be submitted on-line, via the IEEE Manuscript Central™, see http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/sensors. When submitting, please indicate in the “Manuscript Type” dropdown menu and by e-mail to Leigh Ann Testa, testa.l@ieee.org, that the paper is intended for the “Sensors Tutorials: A Vigorous Dive to the Vast Sea of Sensor-Related Knowledge” Special Issue.
