Call For Papers

We are open to receive proposals in any area of law, moral, political and legal philosophy.
The proposals regarding intergenerational justice or climate change (see suggested topics) will be considered for publication in a special double-blind-review journal.
The response for proposal submitted for presentation might be: (a) acceptation for oral presentation; (b) acceptation for presentation as poster; (c) rejection.
The response for proposal submitted for poster might be (a)acceptation; (b) rejection.
2. DEADLINE:
o Abstract submission: June 1, 2017
o Notification of abstract acceptance: June 30, 2017
o Full paper or poster submission: August 16, 2017

3. FORMAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPOSALS:
1. Send an abstract regarding a relevant issue until June 1, 2017. The abstract must contain:
o Title (English and Spanish)
o 5 Key words (English and Spanish)
o Extension: 400 a 500 word
o Format: Times New Roman 12
o Paper language: English or Spanish
2. The abstract must be prepared for double-blind-review.
3. The proposals must be submitted via the registration form.
4. The deadline for notification of acceptance or rejection is June 30, 2017.
5. The committee might suggest if the proposal is accepted for oral presentation or poster.
6. The deadline for the submission of the full paper is August 16, 2017. Since the best papers will be selected for a special number regarding intergenerational justice and climate change in a double-blind-review journal, full papers must be submitted according to the following specifications:
o Full papers must be unpublished.
o Full papers must not have more than 40.000 characters.
o Full papers could be submitted either in: a) English or, b) Spanish.
o Full papers must be submitted in two files in Microsoft Word o compatible software to congresojicc2017@programadeetica.com (with a copy to congresojicc2017@gmail.com ). The first file must by anonymous. The second file must contain author data: brief CV, institutional affiliation, contact details.
o The American System of reference is preferred, that is, bibliography notes must be between brackets, and it must contain author, year: pages. For example: (Meyer, 2015:59). At the end of the document, the full reference must be provided. For example: MEYER, Lukas (2015), "Intergenerational Justice", in Edward N. Zalta (ed.) The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (Fall 2015 Edition). CANEY, Simon (2010) “Climate Change, Human Rights and Moral Thresholds” in Gardiner S, Caney S, Jamieson D & Shue H (ed) Climate Ethics, Oxford University Press, pp. 163-177.
o The explanatory notes must be provided as foot-notes. It is suggested not to abuse this resource.
4. FORMAL REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTER PROPOSALS:
o It is possible to participate by presenting a Poster without presenting a paper. The author should send an abstract about one of the issues proposed by the committee (see the list of suggested topics below) until June 01, 2017 via the registration form.
The abstract must contain:
• Title (English and Spanish)
• 5 Key words (English and Spanish)
• Extension: 400 a 500 word
• Format: Times New Roman 12
o The deadline for notification of acceptance or rejection is June 30, 2017.
The deadline for the submission of the poster file is August 16, 2017. The file must be submitted to congresojicc2017@programadeetica.com (with a copy to congresojicc2017@gmail.com ).
• The poster must be prepared for full-color printing 0,80 cm x 1,00 m. JPG resoluction150 DPI (PPP); vertical format.
• A brief summary of no more than 1000 word must be submitted (Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing simple).
