Call for Participation: 2ed Paris ONOS Meetup and Technical Tutorial,
May 29 2017
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The organizing committee of the 2ed Paris ONOS Meetup aim at introducing
the last ONOS prototype and architecture, talk about its features and
explain how to get involved in its community. The meetup is a great
opportunity to bring together young researchers, Master/PhD students,
and engineers from both academia and industry to learn more about the
ONOS/CORD projects, propose together and develop new features, or model
and evaluate performance of current implemented services.

The Open Network Operating System (ONOS) is an open source software
defined networking (SDN) operating system hosted by Open Networking Lab
(ON.Lab) and the Linux Foundation. The main goal is to create innovative
solutions for service providers that has scalability, high availability,
high performance and abstractions to make it easy to create apps and
services.

ONOS is a key component of the CORD (Central Office Re-architected as a
Datacenter) project that combines NFV, SDN, and the elasticity of
commodity clouds to bring datacenter economics and cloud agility to the
Telco Central Office.

In addition to the meetup, just before the event, the organizing
committee will be offering an ONOS Technical Tutorial for people with a
strong technical background in networking basics (TCP/IP) and
programming (Java). The pre-requisites for the Paris ONOS technical Tutorial can be found at the following link:
