Special Track

Decision making support is an important application of computers, as intelligent techniques are needed to help humans with managing and processing the large and complex quantities of data that can influence their thinking. The involved techniques are at the confluence of automated reasoning, planning, communication, learning, data mining, and human computer interaction. For example, in the design of semi-autonomous cars where the system is supposed to assist a human in charge, the challenges of supporting humans while giving them the right sense of confidence are apparent.

In many applications, it is considered that the humans still want to feel that they are in charge and controlling the overall behavior of the system, while a lot of subtasks are undertaken by intelligent mechanisms. This happens not only in physical but also in social systems, where stability of social networks has significant challenges.

Papers and contributions are encouraged for any work relating to Intelligent Support for Decision Making. Scientific issues to be discussed at the workshop include:

Reasoning and expert systems for supporting decision making
Intelligent Human Computer Interaction
Multi-agent support for decision making
Intelligent e-Participation support
Security for distributed decision-making support
Privacy in distributed decision-making support
Platforms for intelligent decision making
Case based studies of intelligent decision making
Data mining and presentation of information for decision-making
Frameworks for modeling decision making processes
Argumentation in the process of decision making
Personalization and Learning in decision making support
Distributed constraint reasoning for decision making
Preferences elicitation and reasoning for decision making
Cryptographic protocols supporting intelligent decision making
Evaluation metrics and user studies for decision-support

Researchers and practitioners in Artificial Intelligence, Networking and Human-Computer Interaction that deal with supporting decision-making should be interested in this track. We hope to provide an opportunity for researchers and to the practitioners in industry and government to share their results and challenges in solving issues occurring with intelligent support of decision making.

Submissions
Interested authors should format their papers according to the conference formatting guidelines. The papers, 6 pages, should be original work (i.e., not submitted, in submission, or submitted to another conference while in review). Papers are due by June 15, 2017. For INTELLI, the 2017 conference, the reviewing is a double blind process. at least one full author registration per paper.
