Technological, biological and social systems and their design are at the center of the international conference. At the interface of science, humanities, engineering and design, this conference will present the latest insights of the interdependencies between social, ecological and technological systems, as well as practical examples of appropriate design skills for sustainable living concepts and meaningful technologies for a future-oriented humanity.

The World Conference ISSS2017 aims to design a forum to bridge the gap between science and practice.

Five thematic areas will highlight the creative tensions of humans, nature, organization, and technology in the shared discourse:
