Nowadays education is continuously challenged to transformation by two main factors: the changes in the global environments in domains of security, politics, economy, social issues and the development of the new technologies that provide new opportunities and innovations for both teachers and for students.
“Advanced Distributed Learning in education and training transformation”. This is the central topic of the 6th edition of the annual eLearning and Software for Education – (eLSE) conference that will be held in 2010. The conference main purpose is to “promote eLearning related activities by providing a forum for exchange of ideas, presentation of technical achievements, and discussion of future directions”. Held under the patronage of “Carol I” National Defence University and the ADL Partenership Lab the annual eLearning and Software for Education – (eLSE) conference comprises a top level academic conference program involving national and international speakers. At the conference the following three main topics will be presented: 1. Managing and developing the ADL integrated solutions. This topic is reserved to present case studies, best practices in ADL domain, innovative solutions in designing and realization of the support management systems for education and training, solutions and systems that evaluate the performance of virtual learning environment and assess the actors’ performances. 2. Immersive technologies in ADL. The discussions will be directed to respond the specific issues regarding the serious games, distributed simulation, multitouch, virtual world, m-learning, 3D solutions and other related activities. 3. Interoperability and reusability of the elearning objects. This topic is dedicated for the presentation of solutions regarding technical solutions and approach on interoperability, reusability of elearning objects, repositories and sequencing. We are also waiting for papers that describe original works on applicable solutions in the field of educational processes, theories, methodologies, and software solutions to be presented in the conference. A special place will be reserved for the papers that reflect the progress of the scientific research projects that are in relations with elearning. |
