FoodOPS 2017- CALL FOR PAPERS
Dear colleague, as organisers, we would like to invite you to submit a paper to the “The international Food Operations & Processing Simulation Workshop", which will be held in Barcellona (Spain), on September 18-20, 2017. The Conference is a part of the I3M 2017 MultiConference and cosponsored by many universities and companies. The Best papers of the Workshop will be submitted for consideration on a special issue of the journal “International Journal of Food Engineering” IMPACT FACTOR 2015: 0.712; SCImago Journal Rank (SJR): 0.298, Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP): 0.398, Impact per Publication (IPP) 2015: 0.738 Key Dates Extended Abstracts, May 15th 2017 Acceptance Notification, June 15h 2017 Camera Ready Papers, July 15h 2017 Workshop Aim and Topics The Workshop offers the possibility to present results and critical issues concerning processes design and operations management in food industry using Modeling and Simulation as methodological approach. We welcome high-quality, original scientific contributions and will consider them for publication. The International Program Committee will accept two types of camera-ready papers: extended paper (10 pages, 2 columns); regular paper (6 pages, 2 columns). Please refer to the on line authors instruction section. Topics of interest include: • Food processes modeling and simulation • Advanced models and applications for food production, distribution and traceability • Food Supply Chain and cold supply chain management • Economic, social, business and environmental challenges in food supply chains • Inventory management for food, beverage and perishable products • Decision support systems applications in food production and distribution • Greening the supply chain and environmental sustainability • Simulation optimization approaches in food processing and distribution • Production systems design in food industry • Design and production of novel foods • Design and operation of food processes, plant and equipment; • Economics of food engineering • Shelf-life, • Sustainable technologies in food processing • Packaging, cleaning, and sanitation technologies; Nevertheless, different topics concerning processes and operations management in food industry are welcome as well. Authors are kindly invited to include in their papers and presentations all the research works, case studies and application both theoretical and applied.
