India ----------------------------------------------------------------- Technical sponsor: ACM SIGMOBILE ----------------------------------------------------------------- Scope of the workshop ----------------------- After six successful editions of MobileHealth in conjunction with ACM MobiHoc since 2011 in Paris (France), the 7th edition of MobileHealth will be held in Chennai (India) in conjunction with the 18th ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking & Computing (MobiHoc'17). MobileHealth workshop provides a forum for the presentation of research and development covering aspects of mobile health monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics that are essential to improve safety and efficiency in health care. Primary goal of the workshop is to bring together medical device specialists, including researchers, developers, and caregivers, from clinical environments, industry, research laboratories, academia, and government to identify and address challenges facing the design, manufacturing, certification, and use of mobile devices and data for health care. Contributions are sought in the following areas: ------------------------------------------------ MobileHealth 2017 will include presentations of experimental and theoretical achievements, innovative systems, prototyping efforts, case studies, and advances in technology related to wireless healthcare networking and systems. Contributions are sought in the areas of interest that include, but are not limited to the followings. Theme 1: Mobile architectures and platforms for healthcare - Medical device prototypes for diagnosis/prevention - Wearable and implantable wireless sensors for healthcare - Energy efficiency in wireless health monitoring - Usability, user friendliness and reusability - Disposable and cost effective electronics - Fault-tolerance and safety-critical features - Testbed and validation Theme 2: Network and Communication Systems for Healthcare - Communications infrastructure for mobile healthcare apps - Pervasive wireless communications in healthcare - Protocols for wireless healthcare - Wireless monitoring and ambient assisted applications for healthcare - Service and device discovery - Secured data exchange Theme 3: Data mining, Apps and Analytics for Mobile Healthcare - Social networks - Big data in healthcare - Healthcare clouds - Scalability, performance and reliability of mobile healthcare apps - Data fusion, data mining and context elaboration - Diagnostic and decision support algorithms (using Machine Learning and AI) - Control and spread of epidemics ? Standards for mobile healthcare Theme 4: HCI for mobile healthcare apps - Wearable device interaction - Device management - Commissioning - User experience - Gamification and engagement - Accessibility Important Dates --------------- Paper submission deadlines Submission Deadline: February 28, 2017 Acceptance Notification: March 31, 2017 Submission of Final Version: April 20, 2017 Manuscript submission --------------------- Papers should be submitted via EDAS (https://edas.info/index.php). Papers should not exceed 6 pages (US letter size) in the standard double column ACM conference format, including figures, tables, references and appendix. Templates for the standard ACM format can be found at http://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template; authors should use the sigconf template to prepare their submissions. No changes to margins, spacing, or font sizes are allowed from those specified by the style files. Papers violating the formatting guidelines will be returned without review. Papers must be submitted electronically in printable pdf form. Submissions to MobileHealth 2017 will be reviewed using a single-blind review process. This means authors can keep their names and affiliations on submitted papers. Authors are also permitted to post their submissions on their websites or archival services like arXiv.org. Warning: It is ACM policy not to allow double submissions, where the same paper is submitted to more than one conference/journal concurrently. Any double submissions detected will be immediately rejected from all conferences/journals involved. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings published by the ACM.
