Two European FP7 research projects - COST 2100 and NEWCOM++ Actions - focused on wireless communications are now near their successful end. JNCW 2011 is organised in order to disseminate the results of research activities performed by about 600 researchers from nearly 150 institutions and reported in more than 1600 technical documents during the last 4 years.
JNCW 2011 is organized jointly by the European Network of Excellence in Wireless Communications (NEWCOM++) and the European Cooperation Action on Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications (COST 2100). JNCW 2011 program will be composed of invited talks, technical presentations, posters and demonstrations reporting the research done in both COST 2100 and NEWCOM++ projects. At the same time, the participation is open for everyone, member or not of these Actions. Also, the paper submissions are possible. The accepted contributions will be presented during the event and published on a CD-ROM. A limited number of papers, selected on the basis of their high quality, will be offered a full submission in the peer-reviewed journal "Advances in Electronics and Telecommunications". The event is technically co-sponsored by IEEE France section. The event data are as follows: NEWCOM++ / COST 2100 Joint Workshop on Wireless Communications 1 - 2 March 2011, Paris, France http://www.newcom-project.eu/jncw2011 The topics include, but are not limited to: - Radio propagation - Channel characterization and modeling - MIMO channels and systems - Compact Antenna Systems - Radio terminals modeling - OTA test methods - Body area networks - Vehicular Communications - UWB systems - Adaptive coding and modulation - Iterative receivers - Source and channel coding - Network coding and information theory - Relaying and cooperation in networks - Cross-layer Interactions - Security in wireless networks - Interference in wireless networks - Radio Resource Management - Network planning and optimization - Localization and positioning - Hybrid Cellular and Broadcasting Networks TPC Chairs: - Alain Sibille (Telecom ParisTech, France) - Davide Dardari (University of Bologna, Italy) Local Organizer: - Hikmet Sari (Supelec, Gif/Yvette, France) Submission format: 4 pages, IEEE style, IEEE submission guidelines can be found here: http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/authors/authors_journals.html The JNCW web site (http://www.newcom-project.eu/jncw2011) will include all details about EDAS submission format / requirements and on the event organization.
