SCOPE
________________________________________________________________________________________ Research on Agents and Multi-Agent Systems has matured during the last decade and many effective applications of this technology are now deployed. PAAMS provides an international forum to present and discuss the latest scientific developments and their effective applications, to assess the impact of the approach, and to facilitate technology transfer. PAAMS started as a local initiative, but has since grown to become the international yearly platform to present, to discuss, and to disseminate the latest developments and the most important outcomes related to real-world applications. Right now, PAAMS is classified as B by CORE Ranking. info@paams.net TOPICS ________________________________________________________________________________________ Special Topic of the 2023 edition:"Cognitive Mimetics" Problems - Agent-based simulation and prediction - Distributed problem solving - Agent cooperation and negotiation - Agent societies and social networks - Real-time multi-agent systems - Human agent interaction, user interfaces - Adaptation, learning and personalization - Reputation, trust, privacy and security - Agent engineering and development tools - Evaluation, ethical and legal issues Domains - Information recovery and information systems - Knowledge management and data intensive systems - Intelligent control and manufacturing systems - Embodied agents and autonomous systems - Multi-robot systems and real world robotics - Internet softbots and web intelligence - Virtual agents, animation and games - Pervasive agents and ambient intelligence - E-learning and educational systems - User-centered applications and assisting agents INVITED SPEAKERS ________________________________________________________________________________________ Julien Bourgeois, University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté, FEMTO-ST Institute, CNRS (France) Tuomo Kujala, University of Jyväskylä (Finland) Ana Paiva, University of Lisbon (Portugal) SPECIAL ISSUES ________________________________________________________________________________________ Authors of selected papers from PAAMS will be invited to submit an extended and improved version to special issue in different journals. ∎ Special issue "Frontiers of Agents and Multiagent Systems"MDPI SensorsJCR (2021): 3.847 (Q2) ∎ Special issue "Edge Computing in IoT Networks Based on Artificial Intelligence"MDPI SensorsJCR (2021): 3.847 (Q2) ∎ Special issue "Advanced Architectures for Hybrid Edge Analytics Models on Adaptive Smart Areas" MDPI Electronics JCR (2021): 2.690 (Q3) ∎ Special issue "Trends in Practical Applications of Agents, Multi-Agent Systems and Simulating Cognitive Mimetics" MDPI Systems JCR (2021): 2.895 (Q2) ∎ Special issue ADCAIJJCI (2021): 0,05 (Q4) LIST OF WORKSHOPS IN PAAMS 2023 ________________________________________________________________________________________ ∎ AI4Industry - Artificial Intelligence for Industry ∎ ASSIA - Adaptive Smart areaS and Intelligent Agents ∎ C2 - Character Computing ∎ DeRePAI - Decision Support, Recommendation, and Persuasion in Artificial Intelligence ∎ MASGES - Multi-agent based Applications for Modern Energy Markets, Smart Grids and Future Power Systems COMMITTEES ________________________________________________________________________________________ Program Committee Philippe Mathieu - University of Lille (France) Frank Dignum - Umeå University (Sweden) Workshop Chair Dalila Durães - University of Minho (Portugal) Alfonso González-Briones - University of Salamanca (Spain) Organizing Committee Chairs Paulo Novais - University of Minho (Portugal) Fernando De la Prieta - University of Salamanca (Spain) CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS ________________________________________________________________________________________ PAAMS'23 includes a special track for demonstrations. Demonstrations are intended to exhibit practical applications of multi-agent systems and will be a very useful tool in order to complement the regular program with practical examples of particular interest in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Contributions and publication The author/s must write a paper formatted according to the LNCS-LNAI template, with a maximum length of 6 pages and following the next structure: Introduction, Main purpose, Demonstration, Conclusions and References. In order to submit a demonstration to PAAMS, you must register as an author at Conference Management System (Demonstration Track). All accepted demonstrations will be included in PAAMS Proceedings as a paper, published in Springer. During PAAMS, authors will have to show their demonstrations. The organization will provide a printed poster of the article, WIFI connection and space on a shared table with other competitors. The best demo paper in PAAMS'23 will be awarded with 1.000€ More information: www.paams.net/demonstrations-track PUBLICATION ________________________________________________________________________________________ Accepted papers will be published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence. *** Indexing: The books of LNAI and CCIS as part of LNCS series of Springer are made available to the following indexing services: Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), part of Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science, EI Engineering Index (Compendex and Inspec databases), ACM Digital Library, DBLP, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Scopus and Zentralblatt MATH. **** IMPORTANT DATES ________________________________________________________________________________________ General deadline: ̶2̶4̶t̶h̶ ̶M̶a̶r̶c̶h̶,̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶3̶ ̶1̶4̶t̶h̶ ̶A̶p̶r̶i̶l̶,̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶3̶ 24th April, 2023 (last extension) Demonstrations - Paper submission deadline: 1̶4̶t̶h̶ ̶A̶p̶r̶i̶l̶,̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶3̶ ̶2̶1̶s̶t̶ ̶A̶p̶r̶i̶l̶,̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶3̶ 28th April, 2023 (last extension) Notification of acceptance: 3̶r̶d̶ ̶M̶a̶y̶,̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶3̶ 11th May, 2023 Camera-Ready papers due: 19th May, 2023 Conference Celebration: 12th-14th July, 2023 ORGANIZERS ________________________________________________________________________________________ University of Minho (Portugal) LASI - Intelligent Systems Associate Laboratory (Portugal) University of Lille (France) Umeå University (Sweden) University of Salamanca (Spain) Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) Malmö University (Sweden) University of Delaware (USA) Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (France) KU Leuven (Belgium) Kyoto University (Japan) Purdue University (United States) Technische Universität Claustha (Germany) Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic) University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy) SPONSORS ________________________________________________________________________________________ AIR INSTITUTE INDRA SUPPORT FROM NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS ________________________________________________________________________________________ AEPIA APPIA |
