Call For Papers

ARS'17 is the sixth of a successful series. It aims at presenting the most relevant results and the most recent methodological developments in Social Network Research.
The workshop aims:
- to cover more of Social Network Analysis themes including application to different areas;
- to deepen existing scientific cooperation between social network analysts;
- to establish new cooperation between researchers;
- to provide a multi-disciplinary forum for exchange of ideas;
- to provide Ph.D. students and young researchers in the field of social network analysis with a forum for presenting their innovative work.
ARS'17 will host plenary, special and contributed sessions. Contributed sessions include papers, posters and speed presentations.

YOUNG ARS GROUP CALL FOR POSTER

The YoungARS group invites graduate and PhD students to submit a poster according to the contributed sessions themes. All details about the format of poster will be available on the ARS’17 website.

Accepted posters will be included into the "speed poster session", a lightning talk to promote posters during the conference. They will also be enrolled into the competition for the Best Poster Award.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Authors have to submit a presentation abstract on-line before January 25th and the ARS Scientific Committee will include it in a session.
To submit an abstract go to http://www.ars17.unisa.it/submission
All submissions should include a title, author information and abstract text (not exceeding 500 characters). Please, note that registration and payment of workshop registration fee are compulsory for at least one author of each paper or poster before March 19, 2017.


CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Short course
A short course on "Multilevel longitudinal network analysis" will be offered on May 15. The course will be taught by Tom Snijders, Oxford University. Details are at http://www.ars17.unisa.it/shortcourse
Publications
a selection of original papers will be published as post symposium publication in Springer “Lecture Notes in Social Networks”.
Papers accepted to the conference can be submitted for publication to the Italian Economic Journal (ItEJ)
extended papers based on the Poster Track organized by the YoungARS group will be encouraged to be submitted to the special issue of the Italian Journal of Applied Statistics: "Analysing Social Networks: Methods and Applications" - guest editors: A. Ferligoj, M.P. Vitale, D. De Stefano and L. Kronegger.
