This conference will review papers in any of the following topics:
• Advanced metering: practical utility applications and new technologies, SCADA systems, and metering system reliability • Advanced signal processing for Smart Grids, measurements, and instrumentations • Carbon economy in Smart Grid operations • Control center applications: big data, situational awareness, real-time control, and visualizations, next generation control centers: generation, T&D control centers and system operators • Computational intelligence for the Smart Grid: big data analytics, evolutionary computing, fuzzy logic, neural networks, swarm intelligence, and other paradigms • Cyber security and physical security of the Smart Grid • Electric transportation: electric vehicle charging/discharging strategies, grid interface and impacts, resilience, and sustainability • Electromagnetic pulse (EMP): Effects, impacts and potential solutions • Energy efficiency and consumption: business models, incentives, markets, policies and frameworks, smart customers, loads, and meters • Energy harvesting and conversion: smart power electronics, resilience, and sustainability • Energy storage devices and systems: batteries, fuel cells, super-capacitors, and sustainable technologies • Energy market, policies and economics: big data, business models and intelligence, e-markets, incentives, and smart markets • Microgrids: AC/DC systems, control and optimization, energy management, and storage • Power system analysis, modeling, and simulation • Power systems communication: power line communications, wireless, metering and monitoring and other advanced topics • Renewable energy systems: biomass, hydro, solar, wind, and renewable technologies • Smart Grid engineering education: development for academia, industry, professionals, and the future workforce • Synchrophasors, T&D systems monitoring, situational awareness and intelligence • Wide-area systems: monitoring, protection and control Please submit a full-paper, IEEE double-column formatted, without any identification of the authors. The general guideline are in (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html) The paper should not exceed 8 pages, including all text, references, appendices and figures. For final publication further instructions will be sent by the organizers of IEEE GreenTech. Submissions must be original, i.e. never published contributions. Selected accepted papers may be reviewed for possible publication with the IEEE Transactions on Industry Application, after the event.
