THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED TO February 3rd 2017
In last two decades, there have been rapid advances in industrial automation systems, including both factory and process control automation beside many other embedded control systems network such as CAN, which has widely been used in cars and aeroplane engine management systems. Despite importance of such systems especially in civilian daily life, their security issues have been much less considered and underdeveloped in comparison to its financial counterparts and other networked computer systems. The lack of comprehensive security analysis and development for such vital systems against attacks such as Denial of Service (DoS) have created serious security vulnerability for such systems and consequently in the society, which has not profoundly been addressed. The aim of this special session is to introduce the above concerns as applied to the relevant industries and to focus on the implications and potential solutions. Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit full regular papers of their research on but not limited to the following area of interest: - Existing security concerns in industrial automation and process system - Various possible attacks - Attack identification and analysis - Vulnerabilities and robustness of various control strategies - Vulnerabilities and robustness of various implementation platforms - Security Measures - Developing and deploying defence mechanisms - Roots of current gap and concerns in security of IAPS - Role of education and current trends in both industry and academic Submission procedure, deadlines, and author instructions: A manuscript submitted to the Special Session of ISIE 2017 must be in the IEEE double format with single space 10p fonts and figures included in the text, so the length of the manuscript of 8 pages long in PDF format can be evaluated. For your convenience you may download the WORD template.doc from the conference website: http://www.ISIE2017.org Deadlines: Reception of full paper: February 15th 2017 (New firm due date) Paper acceptance notification: March 1st 2017 Camera ready paper reception: April 10th 2017 Organizers: - Dr. M.
