CALL FOR PAPERS
2nd Nas Nuvens… Music Conference December 1st to 7th, 2016 The Post Graduate Programme in Arts at UEMG and the Post Graduate Programme in Music at UFMG invite proposals for their virtual conference in Music, which will take place from December 1st to 7th, 2016. The second edition of Nas Nuvens… reiterates the aim of creating a scientific event that is completely open to society, without costs, through a virtual space for academic sharing. This conference invites research papers in the area of music. Papers should be submitted and presented in Portuguese, English or Spanish. Submissions should be in written paper format, in addition to audio-visual format, according to the following guidelines: 1. An original video of your presentation, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes. The edition of the video is at the authors’ discretion, and may include illustrations, audio excerpts and/or other resources. The video should be sent via a private link to youtube, which will be sent to the Scientific Commission for evaluation. Should you require help, please click here to access the instructions for sending the video from a computer or mobile device. Along with sending the link, please include one of the following items: 2. 2. Written paper: 2.1. Short abstract – maximum of 2000 characters, with spaces (download template: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz1V7PiCnANQVkxncFZZc2NZMzQ/view ), or: 2.2. Long abstract – maximum of 10,000 characters with spaces (download template: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz1V7PiCnANQLXZTbmlMZnRuZTg/view ), or: 2.3. Articles: maximum of 30,000 characters with spaces (download template: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz1V7PiCnANQQWw2ZHBKa1AxMGM/view ) The accepted oral communications will be available on the date of the event, in addition to the written papers, on the 2nd Nas Nuvens…Music Conference website. www.musicanasnuvens.weebly.com . During the event (from December 1st to 7th ,2016), the participants should be available online in order to respond to any possible questions, commentaries or observations about your papers, through the Youtube channel. Evaluation of submissions: - The audio-visual and written submissions will be double peer reviewed, and in case of a tie, there will be a third evaluation. Given the specifications of this conference, the authors will be identified during the review process. Submissions are invited up until November 2nd, 2016, via email to congressonasnuvens@gmail.com . The list of approved papers will be available on the conference website (www.musicanasnuvens.weebly.com) from November 15th, 2016. Distinction for the best papers Two distinctions will be awarded for the papers which stand out due to their creativity, originality, presentation, filming, academic quality and content of the proposal, within the following categories: 1. 2nd Nas Nuvens Prize – Video selected by the organising committee (according to indications from the scientific committee). 2. 2nd Nas Nuvens… Audience Prize – Video of an oral communication that receives the most likes and shares during the event. Shares and likes on social networks will be calculated via youtube’s internal system. The winning authors will receive books, periodicals and/or CDS produced within the Post-Graduate Programmes in Arts and Music of UEMG and UFMG, respectively.
