CALL FOR PAPERS and EXTENDED ABSTRACTS (SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED!!)

The 2016 ECU Business Doctoral and Emerging Scholars Colloquium is proudly organised by the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University.

The colloquium will provide an opportunity for participating doctoral students and early career researchers (ECRs) to discuss and share their research ideas and approaches with other doctoral students, researchers and leading academics within the broad field of business.

We have secured an impressive list of international and Australian keynote speakers for the colloquium, who are graduates from top universities, such as Harvard University, University of Cambridge, Oxford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The colloquium is accepting submissions from doctoral students in different stages of their dissertation process, and early career researchers who completed their study in the last five years, to participate in this colloquium. We welcome submissions from any field of Business.

Besides the keynote speeches (visit the website for more information: www.ecu.edu.au/conferences/ecu-business-colloquium) , parallel tracks based on the topical and/or methodological viewpoint of participants' work will be arranged. Students will discuss their work with the other participants and obtain feedback from advisory experts with diverse perspectives.

A celebratory dinner will follow the formal proceedings where the winners of the Best Paper Awards will be announced, with attractive prizes.

Submissions:
The colloquium invites either an extended abstract (maximum two pages) or a short paper (maximum 5 pages, excluding reference). Doctoral students and ECRs wishing to present their research at the colloquium are asked to send the following material to SBLSubmissions@ecu.edu.au by the submission deadlines. Templates can be downloaded from the colloquium website.

Deadlines:
Extended abstract submission by 31 October 2016
Full paper submission 07 November 2016
Registration as a presenter: 18 November 2016
Registration to attend only: 18 November 2016

Peer-reviewed process and proceedings:
All submissions will be peer reviewed and selected based on quality, relevance, and research phase. The selection process will focus on quality and relevance of the research problem, rather than just the finished research. All accepted doctoral extended abstracts and full papers are required to be presented and will be included in the conference proceedings.

Best Paper Awards:
The Best Paper Award is presented to the author(s) of a full paper presented at the colloquium dinner, that is judged by an awards committee as having the highest overall quality in advancing the fundamental understanding of the field of knowledge.
The winner of the Best Paper Award will receive $1,000 and "Best Paper Award Certificate".
The awards committee will also select a runner up and will award $500 and “Runner-Up Paper Award Certificate”.

Registration:
Participation in the colloquium is open to both presenters and non-presenters. Doctoral students and ECRs who wish to attend without submitting an abstract or paper are welcomed to register and attend the colloquium. Refer to the colloquium website for registration dates. The registration fee is $100 and includes attendance to the colloquium and the celebratory dinner.
