RTEST 2018, IEEE

The CSI International Symposium on Real-Time and Embedded Systems and Technologies (RTEST)

The RTEST symposium targets at bringing researchers in the fields of real-time systems, embedded systems, and related technologies, from both industry and academia together. After the 1st successful edition, this year the event is planned to be held on 9-10 May 2018 at the University of Tehran (College of Engineering), Tehran, Iran.

RTEST 2018 welcomes submissions in all theoretical and practical areas, reporting design, analysis, implementation, evaluation, and empirical results, of real-time and embedded systems, Internet-of-things, and cyber-physical systems, including (but not limited to): real-time software and applications, embedded hardware, multicore and manycore embedded systems, networked/distributed real-time/embedded systems, real-time control systems, real-time and embedded operating systems, hardware/software co-design, system-level design, modeling and verification, real-time scheduling and resource management, quality-of-service (QoS) management, power and thermal management, compilers for embedded systems, WCET estimation, testing and debugging of embedded and real-time systems, dependable real-time systems, and security.

The areas are accommodated in the following three tracks (see the conference web site http://2018.rtest-conf.org):
• Cyber-Physical Systems
• Internet-of-Things
• Embedded Software and Hardware

The accepted and presented papers will be considered to be published in IEEE Xplore.

Selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version either to a special issue of the Scientia Iranica journal (Transactions on Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering) for publication after another round of review or to a special issue of the JCSE journal for publication (www.jcse.ir).

Submission of Papers

Submissions must be in the PDF format and must be submitted online via the RTEST 2018 easychair conference management system. The material must be unpublished and not under submission elsewhere. Submissions must not exceed 8 pages (2 columns, 10 pt) for the main text, inclusive of figures, tables, and references. All papers must conform, at the time of submission, to the IEEE Formatting Guidelines. Papers exceeding the page limit will not be reviewed. A selection of the best papers will receive outstanding paper awards, and will be highlighted as such in the conference proceedings. Also, these papers will be invited to be extended for publication in selected journals after another round of review.
