MOMA3N 2018 The 1st International Workshop on Model Management and Analytics @ MODELSWARD ’18 https://modelanalytics.wordpress.com/international-workshop/ http://www.modelsward.org/MOMA3N.aspx 22-24 January 2018 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal ---------------------------------------Call for Papers------------------------------------------------------------------ Model-based approaches promote the use of models and related artefacts (such as metamodels and model transformations) as central elements to tackle the complexity of building systems. With their increasing maturity and widespread use (even for large ecosystems and systems of systems), the complexity, size, multiplicity and variety of those artefacts increase. Scalability with respect to variety and multiplicity has remained mostly under the radar. The 1st International Workshop on MOdel MAnagement And ANalytics (MoMA3N) aims to gather Modelling researchers and practitioners to discuss the emerging scalability problems and propose solutions. The scope ranges from industrial reports and empirical analyses in the problem domain to novel cross-disciplinary approaches for large-scale analytics and management, e.g. exploiting techniques from data analytics, repository mining and machine learning. IMPORTANT DATES Paper Submission: November 7, 2017 Authors Notification: November 21, 2017 Camera Ready and Registration: November 29, 2017 MOMA3N workshop (1-day): January 22-24, 2018 TOPICS of INTEREST (non-exclusive) - Industrial reports and empirical studies on scalability in Modelling; - Identification of open research challenges and proposed solutions; - Repository mining and management for Modelling artefacts; - Clone, pattern, aspect mining for Modelling artefacts; - Applications of explorative or descriptive data analytics; - Applications of predictive analytics and machine learning; - Large-scale model management and consistency checking; - Natural language processing for Modelling; - Model searching, indexing, retrieval, storage; - Visualization of (possibly heterogeneous) large sets of Modelling artefacts; - Techniques to analyse and automate (co-)evolution in Modelling; - Variability mining and management, model-driven software product lines; - Distributed computing for Modelling, with an eye towards Big Data; - Intelligent techniques for automating Modelling tasks. We invite contributions from a wide range of technical spaces to promote cross- fertilization: Model-Driven Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Process Modelling, Software Architecture, and so on. SUBMISSION and PUBLICATION Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above. Aiming to be a pioneering venue for model management and analytics, we primarily encourage position and work-in-progress papers, vision or challenge reports, and industrial experiences. Submissions must be in English, and between 4 and 12 pages in length (see http://www.modelsward.org/Guidelines.aspx for details), following the templates in http://www.modelsward.org/Templates.aspx. Primoris submission site: https://goo.gl/txmzKV After thorough reviewing by the workshop program committee complemented by members of the main conference program committee, all accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on CD-ROM support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/) and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
