Ilha do Desterro: A Journal of English Languages, Literatures in English and Cultural Studies, one of the longest-running Brazilian journals devoted to English studies, is currently receiving contributions on the following subjects: Literatures in English, Film Studies and Cultural Studies within Anglophonic contexts.



Submitted papers in English or in Portuguese should not have been published nor be in the review process of another journal. This call for papers has as its deadline July 15/2016 and the accepted papers will be published by January 2017.



Ilha do Desterro is a peer-reviewed journal of the Graduate Program in English at theUniversidade Federal de Santa Catarina, published by the Editora da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Ilha do Desterro is classified as an A1 journal by CAPES QUALIS, indexed by SCOPUS, SciELO and MLA among other index databases.
