===============================Call For Paper================================
The 7th International Workshop on Wireless Networks and Multimedia (WNM-2016)

http://empslocal.ex.ac.uk/people/staff/yw433/wnm2016/

To be held in conjunction with The 18th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communications (HPCC-2016)
12-14 December 2016, Sydney, Australia

Due to many requests, the submission deadline is extended to 05 September 2016. This is a firm deadline.

Introduction
============
The wireless communication technologies have evolved quickly over the past years. As the explosive growth in broadband wireless networks, multimedia applications will dominate the future wireless communication society, resulting in non-trivial problems in terms of available capacity, reliability, quality-of-service, delay, and throughput.

To successfully support wireless multimedia applications, it is necessary to improve the state-of-the-art techniques (such as radio resource management, mobility, handoff, and location management, etc) in the multimedia transmission over wireless networks in order to provide quality-of-service guarantees between the end-users and achieve a high quality-of-experience for end-users.

This workshop will address the important problems and challenges caused by the transmission of multimedia applications over wireless networks. The workshop aims to bring together computer scientists and engineers in different disciplines to share and exchange their experience and ideas and discuss state-of-the-art and in-progress research on all aspects of wireless networks and multimedia applications.

WNM-2016 is the next event, in a series of successful International Workshops on Wireless Networks and Multimedia (WNM), previous held as WNM-2015 (Liverpool, UK, October 2015), WNM-2014 (Dalian, China, August 2014), WNM-2013 (Melbourne, Australia, July 2013), WNM-2012 (Liverpool, UK, June 2012), WNM-2011 (Changsha, China, November 2011), and HMWN-2010 (Bradford, UK, June 2010).

Topics of particular interests include the following tracks, but are not limited to:

- 5G
- SDN/NFV-based Flexible Architecture for Wireless Networks and Multimedia
- Caching for Wireless Networks and Multimedia

Important Dates
===============
Submission Deadline: 05 September 2016 (Firm)
Authors Notification: 25 September 2016
Final Manuscript Due: 15 October 2016
Registration Due: 15 October 2016

Paper Submission Guideline
==========================
Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. The length of the papers should not exceed 8 pages + 2 pages for overlength charges (IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, 10-point font), including figures and references.

The template files for LATEX or WORD can be downloaded here (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html).

Papers should be submitted through the EasyChair paper submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wnm2016).

All papers will be peer reviewed and the comments will be provided to the authors. Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society Press (indexed by EI).

Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register for the conference and present the work.
