This International Conference is intended to encourage the discussion of ideas at the Legal Theory and History, Research Centre of the University of Lisbon, associating the latest studies on Human Rights to the Legal Theory and History through a complete, plural and multi-faceted approach. The general thematic framework of discussion includes the History of Political Ideas, Legal History and Legal Theory, regarding timeless general and operative concepts, with an emphasis on modern and comtemporary historical periods.
Objectives *Promote the scientific research in the areas of Legal Theory and History and History of Political Ideas *Encourage the debate of ideas among prestigious researchers and academics and also early career researchers *Develop competencies regarding the critical evaluation, presentation and disclosure of scientific output *Strengthen contacts between members of the national and international scientific communities The proposals for conference presentations should be sent to the Organizing Committee by July 10, 2016. The Committee will notify the authors of paper acceptance or non- -acceptance by July 20. Authors should register until 10 days after receiving the notification of acceptance and the final articles should be submitted by September 20. Articles submitted to the Conference should be presented in digital format and include an abstract – up to one page in length -, and text – up to 20 pages -, written in 12 pt Times New Roman, 1,5 pt line spacing.
