Conference Theme EuroSPI is unique in the way it brings both communities, researchers and industry, together. It is also unique in the way that we produce two proceedings, research papers with Springer and industry/experience papers with Wiley. Thus researchers are asked to write scientific papers with a practical background which could be re-used in industry. Thus industry experts are asked to write experience / industry papers with a vision which could fruitfully push the ideas of researchers again. This background corresponds with the theme as follows: - "Experiences with the Implementation": It is not enough to describe a new method or idea. We need proof or case studies that the metod worked. - "Improvement and Innovation ": The applied methods and techniques shall have a focus on innovating and improving processes and products. - "Related Benefits in the Organisation": The papers shall outline the measured / analysed benefit for the organisation. 2. Programme Committees EuroSPI has an industry and a scientific programme committee. Both committees are formed by more than 70 well known industry experts and researchers from 18 different countries. Each contribution is peer reviewed by at least two different experts. The conference has been recognised by world wide known scientic publishers: 18 selected research papers are published in the Springer CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science) series. )From 24 selected industry papers (published in the industry proceedings) 12 will be selected for a special issue in the Wiley Interscience SPIP (Software Process Improvement in Practice) series. The programme committees are published on the web site: 2010.eurospi.net 4. Who Should Attend Quality Manager Improvement Manager Researcher Project Manager Innovation Manager Experienced Practitioner Business Manager 5. History of EuroSPI EuroSPI's mission is to develop an experience and knowledge exchange platform for Europe where SPI practices can be discussed and exchanged and knowledge can be gathered and shared. This mission is implemented by four major action lines: 1. An annual EuroSPI conference supported by Software Process Improvement Networks from different EU countries. 2. Establishing an Internet based knowledge library, newsletters, and a set of proceedings and recommended books. 3. Establishing an effective team of national representatives (in future from each EU country) growing step by step into more countries of Europe. 4. Establishing a European Qualification Framework for a pool of professions related with SPI and management. This is supported by European certificates and exam systems. EuroSPI represents a European experience forum collaborating with nearly all SPINs in Europe. EuroSPI offers experiences which can be re-used creating benefits in your own organisation . EuroSPI is a successful initiative since 1994. Annual conferences were held 1994 in Dublin (Ireland), 1995 in Vienna (Austria), 1996 in Brighton (UK), 1997 in Budapest (Hungary), 1998 in Gothenburg (Sweden), 1999 in Pori (Finland), 2000 in Copenhagen (Denmark), 2001 in Limerick (Ireland), 2002 in Nuremberg (Germany), 2003 in Graz (Austria), 2004 in Trondheim (Norway), 2005 in Budapest (Hungary), 2006 in Joensuu (Finland), 2007 in Berlin (Germany), 2008 in Dublin (Ireland), 2009 in Alcala (Spain), 2010 in Grenoble (France), 2011 in Roskilde/Copenhagen (Denmark) 2012 in Krems/Vienna (Austria) 6.
