Welcome to the IS&T Conference on Human Vision and Electronic Imaging
January 29 - February 2, 2017 Hyatt Regency Hotel, Burlingame, California, San Francisco Airport What is HVEI? HVEI is a conference, and a community, dedicated to research at the intersection of human vision/cognition, imaging technologies and aesthetics/art. The conference runs for four days, with peer-reviewed technical presentations and posters punctuated with interactive discussions, panels, short courses, and social activities. Every year, special invited sessions introduce new topics to the HVEI community, broadening the dialogue and encouraging new areas of research. HVEI's goal is to enable communication and collaboration across disciplines. HVEI authors and attendees come from academic departments in computer science, imaging science, engineering, psychology, cognitive neuroscience and art; they also come from high tech and government laboratories, and from art studios and start-ups. The Proceedings are published online and are free-access, with no charges to the authors or the readers.
