National Defence University of Malaysia and Universiti Putra Malaysia is please to once again host the 2016 International Conference on Defence and Security Technology at Marriot Hotel, Putrajaya on August, 2016.
Warfare has leaped into a new era where technology superseded the might of weaponry, where microchips and intelligent systems have the ascendancy over the heavy armoured warships. However, with economic development, the advances in defence science and development have driven to the changing threat, with supporting evidence intensifies as the internet facilitates the rapid transmission world-wide of technological information.
The technical challenges required for capability exploitation of the defence research and development is enormous. Following to this, the expert scientists or engineers must be actively engaged in the full life cycle of decision making process and not only in project execution. This includes the interdisciplinary process of building the evaluation/decision framework and the infrastructure to realize the required future for an advanced defence and security technology.
Although achieving this goal will require a broad coalition of well-crafted policies, it will only be realized through the application of engineering principles and the commitment to partnerships involving the scientist and technologist, the defence community and industrialists for development, acceptance and dissemination of technologies advancement to meet emerging future defence needs.
