The market demand for smarter products and greater convenience has positioned Artificial Intelligence in the heart of science and engineering. In the journey of meeting the market’s expectations, Artificial Intelligence has already seen its success in robotics, manufacturing, smart building, smart power grid, smart vehicles, and smart cities. In conjunction with proliferation of Internet, a new era will come for us to see a greater success of Artificial Intelligence for tasks such as automation, eldercare, homecare, edutainment, search and rescue, de-mining, surveillance, transportation, homeland security, and defense missions. Hence, it is necessary for us to push the frontier of Artificial Intelligence into a new dimension. And, the purpose of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AIR) is to provide a venue where researchers, scientists, engineers and practitioners throughout the world can come together to present and discuss the latest achievement, future challenges and exciting applications of theories and technologies of Artificial Intelligence toward smart creatures such as robots, machines and buildings. In particular, the emphasis of this year’s conference is on “Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Innovations”.
In order to benefit all participants, and also to maximize the interaction, the technical program of this conference is intentionally tailored to having a single track (long papers) and a common poster session (short papers). The single track and the poster session will accommodate peer-reviewed articles dealing with theoretical, experimental and applied works. In addition to the technical program, the conference will include several keynote speakers.
